The Position

As a Financial Administrator (Products), you play a key role in keeping our financial operations running smoothly and accurately every single day. In this position you are at the heart of our business, working closely with internal stakeholders such as Front Office, Treasury, Operations and other Financial (Operations) teams. In addition, you maintain regular contact with the finance departments of suppliers/customers.

You are responsible for the timely and accurate processing of daily financial transactions and invoices, in line with established procedures and guidelines. Together with your colleagues, you ensure that our financial administration is always up to date. At the same time, you contribute to continuous improvements and support critical month-end closing activities.

This is a role for someone who thrives on responsibility, enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, and stays calm and focused under time pressure.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Independently process and review purchase and sales invoices, including validation of quantities and prices;

  • Monitor, identify and investigate overdue Accounts Receivable (AR) and Accounts Payable (AP) positions;

  • Detect and resolve issues that may impact accurate and timely invoice processing;

  • Handle ad hoc queries from customers, suppliers and internal stakeholders;

  • Collaborate with internal departments to improve processes and maintain oversight of business activities;

  • Contribute to and drive process improvements, including workflow and system (IT) optimizations;

  • Support monthly closing activities, ensuring accuracy and completeness of financial data;

  • Prepare, book and issue final invoices during closing cycles;

  • Perform various administrative and financial tasks as required.

Your Profile

  • An MBO-level education with a financial or administrative background;

  • Solid understanding of bookkeeping principles;

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and good knowledge of Microsoft Outlook;

  • Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal;

  • Service-oriented with a customer-focused mindset;

  • Highly accurate with a structured and systematic way of working;

  • Able to work independently and take ownership of tasks;

  • Proactive, hands-on mentality with a strong team spirit;

  • Strong numerical and analytical skills;

  • Experience or affinity with the energy or commodities trading sector is a plus.
