We are looking for an enthusiastic Jr. Trading Operator to join our Barge Execution Bio Light Ends team in our Rotterdam office.
As Jr. Trading Operator in the Barge Execution Bio Light Ends department, you will play a crucial role in supporting the optimization and execution of the supply planning, as well as supporting in managing physical positions. Your primary responsibility will be to oversee physical positions owned by Light Ends books and ensure their accurate and timely execution.
After deals are made by the traders, you will handle the logistics of the product, ensuring smooth and correct handling. Your role will be essential in supporting and ensuring the seamless execution of trades optimizing supply planning and managing physical positions efficiently.
You will join a small team with a big impact, where there is a good and informal culture, but also where no one is afraid to run a little harder to get the work done and on time. You will work collaboratively and independently in a team environment, contributing to the dynamic and efficient handling of trades.
Carrying out with nominations from end to end for barges;
Supporting in the monitoring and managing positions physical and within the internal risk management system checking on: pricing, exposure, delivery window, demurrage, customs’ status, quality and quantity;
Supporting in managing tank movements;
Inform logistic service providers (LSP’s) and terminals regarding load and discharge;
Process bill of ladings and certificates of analysis;
Inform/Consult traders about contract positions.
Preferably experience in import/export, logistics and/or commodities;
Experience in an international work environment;
A hands-on approach with the ability to implement swiftly and effectively by taking ownership;
Fluency in English, both written and verbal (proficiency in Dutch is considered a plus);
Knowledge of the oil or fuel (trading) business and derivatives is a significant advantage.
A team-player mentality, yet capable of working independently;
Structured and precise: you pay attention to details and you have a methodical approach to ensure accuracy in all aspects of your work;
Strong communication skills: both written and verbal, you know how to communicate effectively and clear with internal and external stakeholders;
